Today I have the pleasure of reviewing one of my all-time favorites.
The first thing that catches your eye with Jinkoh Seiun is the beautiful dark packaging. It is the only incense I own which comes in a black box. This gives me the impression of prestige and a product of a high class, which as you read my review will understand is very much the case.
Gold and red text also decorate the packaging giving it a lot of presence. This is a box you cannot ignore.
I absolutely love this incense. The scent is pure and deep. Featuring a mild level of smoke. The smoke is gentle and dances around beautiful. Never bursting into a cloud.
The scent is very distinctive and would be difficult to confuse it with any other incense found in my collection. Ingredients wise Jinkoh Seiun uses a combination of Agarwood, Kyara and a dash of charcoal. Agarwood and Kyara being two very high end ingredients which often feature in some of the world’s most expensive incense.
Jinkoh is Japanese for Agarwood for those that didn't know.
I wouldn't recommend this as a first time incense. This is a product you want to work yourself up to; to really enjoy the high level of quality on offer. In particular, this will appeal to members who enjoy deep, woody scents. You will find no floral or sweet notes here. The Agarwood and Kyara are prominent throughout the burn with flashes of charcoal.
Thank you very much to Anna Pach from Kohgen World who was able to provide me lots of translations and helpful information for not only this incense but lots of reviews you will be seeing shortly.
